During the July, 2008 confidence motion, Rs 3 Crores, the money used for bribing the opposition MPs, displayed on the floor of the house. Morever, it was reported that a private channel had recorded the entire incident of bribing on tape. The speaker decided not show the tape to the nation. Suspiciously enough the T.V. Channel which recorded the sting operation also went mum. The entire matter was hushed up by a committee of MPs themselves.
